Emergency fabric
softener |
Everyone loves their clothes soft and clean smelling after
they comeout of the dryer. Some people are allergic to
commercial fabric softeners and can't use them. Here is
an easy recipe to make your own that shouldn't cause any
problems and a few alternatives to use should you be in a
pinch and run out of your favorite fabric softener...
2 cups vinegar
2 cups Baking soda
4 cups water
Mix slowly and carefully over a sink. The soda and vinegar will
"fizz," so don't be alramed. Pour into a plastic bottle, close
up and shake. Pour into your final rinse, softener dispenser or
"Downy® Ball." |

Dust Free Life |
If you want to keep dust from settling on TV screens, monitors,
or even floors, you can make your own anti-static, anti-dust,
mixture.
Mix 1 part of liquid fabric softener with 4 parts of water in
a spray bottle. Spray the solution on a clean, soft rag and
go over the screen. For floors, lightly spray your dust mop
and wipe your floors...
You can use a fabric softener dryer sheet to dust your screens also. |

Cleaning under the
Fridge |
If you're like the millions of people, who KNOW we should
clean under the refrigerator more often than we do,
but don't because it's basically a pain, This
might help...Take an old sock and secure it on a yardstick
with a rubber band or tie. Use this as a flat "dust mop" that
will slide under the fridge much easier than a vacuum attachment
or moving the fridge.... |
|
Lost in the carpet |
If you've dropped small items in carpeting, such as an earring,
or anything small that you can't quickly spot, pull an old
nylon over the end of your vacuum hose and secure with a
rubber band. Turn the vacuum on and the item will get sucked
up to the nylon without losing it agin in the bag... |
