Day 1: Have your child solve these math problems;

  • 90 + 57 = ? (147)
  • 48 + 213 = ? (261)
  • 87 - 49 = ? (38).

Day 2: Have your child solve these math problems;

  • 376 - 107 =? (269)
  • 1011 - 812 = ? (199)
  • 24 + 18 + 6 = ? (48).

Day 3: Have your child measure a book or other object nearby and find the measurements in inches and in centimeters.


Day 4: Have your child start with number 14 and double it (28). Triple it (42).


Day 5: Have your child solve this problem; A pet shop keeps 6 puppies in each of 3 pens. How many puppies are there? (18)


Day 6: Have your child solve this problem; There 31 days in December. How many weeks are there in December? (4 weeks with 3 days left over).


Day 7: Have your child solve this problem; Joey has 30 dog snacks to divide among his 3 dogs. How many snacks does each dog get? (10)


Day 8: Have your child solve this problem; How many teams can a class of 30 children make if there are 6 children on each team? (5)


Day 9: Have your child write a number with 5 in the tenths place; 3 in the thousandths place; 7 in the ones place; 5 in the hundredths place.

Day 19: Have your child identify equivalent measurements;

  • 1ft 4in. = 16 in, 1/3yd, 14in, 1 4/12ft (16in, 1 4/12ft.)
  • 2 yd 1 ft = 3ft, 7ft, 2 1/3yd, 25in. (7ft, 2 1/3yd)

Day 20: Have your child identify equivalent measurements;

Day 21: Have your child solve;

  • What do you subtract from 21 to get 12? (9)
  • What do you subtract from 6 to get 6? ( 0)
  • What do you subtract from 7 to get 4? (3).
  • Make up others.

Day 22: Have your child solve; How much will 2 casettes cost at $3.25 each? ($6.50); How much will 5 cd's cost at $2.50 each? ($12.50)


Day 23: Have your child solve; $126 is shared equally among 7 people. How much does each one get? ($18.00); $82.00 is shared equally among 4 people? How much does each one get? ($20.50).


Day 24: Have your child solve;

  • 46 x 4 = ? (184);
  • 64 x 4= ? (256)

Day 25: Have your child solve; 215 x 6 = ? (1290); 70 x 5 = ? (350).


Day 26: Have your child write 8 numbers that are factors for 24; (1, 24, 2, 12, 3, 8, 4, 6)


Day 27: Have your child solve;

  • What is 21 divided by 7?
  • (3); 210 divided by 7? (30)
  • 210 divided by 3? (70);
  • 2100 divided by 7? (300)>

Day 28: Have your child use a bent arm to solve these problems; Show a right angle; an angle more than a right angle and an angle less than a right angle.


Day 29: Have your child write 0.063; what is the value of 6? (6 hundredths); What number is in the thousandths place? (3).


Day 30: Have your child write this amount using dollar signs and decimal points;

  • 7 pennies ($0.07)
  • 8 dimes ($0.80)
  • 17 dimes ($1.70)
  • 3 dollars and 6 cents. ($3.06).

Day 21: Have your child write a letter to a relative.
